How To Make Solar Panels – Making Solar Panels For Your Home

A solar panel is a frame that contains cells that harness the power of the sun to generate energy. This energy is converted into electricity, which can start up lighting, electronic equipment, and the like. You can buy ready-made solar panels, but they come at an expensive price, which is why some people build their own panels.

Getting Started

Making solar panels themselves can be tricky, so you must have patience and determination for this.

• Solar cells: to make a solar panel, you will need the following materials

• Plywood, 1 sheet

• Plexiglas, 1 sheet

• All-weather paint

• 1×1 inch wood, 4 pieces

• Silicone

• Solder and soldering iron

• Drill and screws

• Insulated copper wire, two strips

• Flat-tabbed wire

• pencil and ruler

You can make your own solar cells, but this will take more time and effort entail. Just buy cells to make things easier for you and begin to work on the panel construction immediately.

Procedure

Now that your solar cells, decide how many rows of cells you need. This will help the size of the plywood you need to cut determination. After cutting, apply all-weather paint and let it dry. Then you can apply a second coating.

After the second coating dries, use the pencil and ruler to draw lines to direct regulation of the cells. Make sure you leave a 3-inch border along the edges of the plywood.

Subsequently, two flat tabs solder wires to the back of each cell. Make sure that the length of the wire, double the length of a cell.

Place the cells in the multiplex. Soldering the wires to the back side of the one cell to the next, so that they are all connected.

Put a drop of silicone glue to the back of each sale to the plywood. A small drop will do. Let the sealant dry.

Connect the positive wire from one cell to the negative lead of the next cell. Repeat this process until you get a positive lead and a negative lead left. Parallel flow generating compounds, while more series links to build up more tension.

As for the final two leads, solder each of them to separate the insulated copper wire. The length of the wire depends on how far the position of the solar power system

Remember the four pieces of 1×1-inch wood .; these are the signs that you place on the borders of the multiplex. Glue them to the front of the multiplex (in which the solar cells are installed) with the silicone sealant and let dry.

Turn to the back of the plywood. Drill holes through the wood in the 1×1-inch wood, but make sure that the drill does not penetrate the wood. Unscrew the four pieces of wood instead.

As for the positive and negative leads, drill bit to pass through a hole for each of them on the lower edge of the threads. Enter the two holes with silicone sealant so that the wires into place. Drill a hole in the bottom, but do not put kit. It will serve as a drain hole in the event of condensation.

Place a sheet of plexiglass on the solar panel. Glue them on the border with the sealant and let it dry. Once dry, the plexiglass screw in place on the boundaries.

Finally, place the panel in the desired position and connect the insulated copper wires to the home energy system.

At this point, your homemade solar panel is made. Make sure you exercise safety precautions when doing this project. Remember: a solar cell produces a minimal amount of electricity. Do you want to generate more electricity, you need to create more panels.
